Bear

Poor Bear was hit by a car and left to suffer on the side of the road - no one even stopped. He's such a big boy at 76 pounds - surely they had to have known and he did some major damage to someone's vehicle! Bear could not get up and laid on the side of the road until a good samaritan called the shelter to come pick him up. We took him straight to the vet's office - x-rays were done and it was determined that fortunately, his back and legs were not broken but he did have several broken ribs, major road rash, bruising and soft tissue damage. It would be a waiting game to see if he had nerve damage and could walk and use the bathroom on his own. Bear stayed at the vet's office for five days, and miraculously, he is slowly recovering and can walk on his own and use the bathroom on his own - he is even crate trained and will definitely let you know when he has to go out! Bear is fortunately hw negative and will be looking for a wonderful furever home once he is all healed up. Please consider donating to Bear's vet bill. Thank you!
